Please keep the following projects in this Bond Issue:
Waimea traffic circulation improvements - $2.85 million
We desperately need this to improve circulation, which serves the entire island of Hawaii. This money is needed to help
accomplish the recommendations made in the PB Hawai'i report, and will help correct major deficiencies critical to public
safety. Please do not delete this project.
Waimea Trails and Greenways - $2.2 million
The community has been planning this project for over 14 years, and it is just getting toward being started. The trail will help
take pedestrians and bicyclists off the narrow, heavily vehicle-traveled Kawaihae Road, and make it a much safer and more
healthy way to get into town. Please do not delete this project.
Waimea District Park Planning and Design - $0.75 million
A committee has been working with the County Planning and Parks and Recreation Departments to get a badly needed
district park for our community. Please do not delete this project.
