Honorable Councilman Hoffmann,
I am writing to urge the approval to establish a cabinet level Energy Sustainability Department
with 3 full-time staff people. I have been working in the climate change movement working
nationally with school outreach on energy, climate change and sustainability that has reached
over 100,000 students over the last 8 years. I have also organized climate
conferences, clean energy fairs, have been trained by Al Gore to give his slide show featured
in the Inconvenient Truth, have attended international UN conferences on the subject. This
issue is about our very survival and the future of our the planet for our children.
Hawaii can be a sustainable model for the world IF it is supported by our leaders!! Please do
what you can to make sure this bill passes!
