Subject: Energy Sustainability Department Help Advocate for a Energy Sustainability Department
I would like to express by enthusiastic support for the creation of a 3 person Energy Sustainability
Department. It is crucial that the Big Island move quickly on alternative technologies and end our
importation of oil. We have the means to become a flagship example of sustainability, and we need
experienced professionals with technological expertise to help us do so as soon as possible. I applaud your
efforts at leading the way with staff and budget resources.
