Aloha Pete,
Hope you are well.
I'm writing just a brief note in initial support of the proposed Energy Sustainability Department being
considered in the very near future. I am still working through the proposal document so do not have
specific comments to make yet on the details. But I am greatly concerned about this issue area for the
island and support the Council moving this up to a high priority in its affairs. If establishing this new
department will help to make this happen, then I am in total support at the macro level.
Thanking you in advance for your thoughtful consideration and support of this proposal deferring to
your good judgment as to its effectiveness and how it needs to be refined to be of help for the future of
the island and its people.
