Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Communication No. 1183, regarding Resolution 625-08, reports as follows:
Resolution 625-08, transmitted by Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase via
Communication No. 1183, dated April 11, 2008, Accepting the Dedication of Roadway Lot
13-M, identified as Tax Map Key: (3)4-3-011:060, Situate at Pa`auilo, District of Hamakua,
County and State of Hawaii, from Trustee David S. De Luz, Sr.
Trustee De Luz is desirous of dedicating the subject roadway, including all improvements
pursuant to Condition 3(a) of subdivision approval for SUB 2003-0064 to the County of Hawaii.
Article XIII, § 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council may accept gifts
which include the dedication of land on behalf of the County of Hawaii.
There was no testimony from members of the public regarding the proposed acceptance.
Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase appeared before your committee. Mr. Takase
confirmed the roadway including all improvements are in full compliance with Hawaii County
Code.

Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Resolution 625-08, and recommends its adoption.
