Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Communication No. 1236, regarding Resolution 653-08, reports as follows:
Resolution 653-08, transmitted by Council member Bob Jacobson via Communication 1236
proposing a Resolution authorizing the Department of Environmental Management to Continue
an Amnesty Program Regarding Derelict Vehicle Recycling and Disposal from Private Property.
A member from the public commented on this proposed resolution.
Council member Jacobson stated that he has received comments on the great success of this
amnesty program and would like to see this continue. He seeks the support of his colleagues on
this proposed resolution.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Resolution 653-08, and recommends its adoption.
