Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 547-08, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 547-08, transmitted by Council Chairman Pete Hoffmann, via Communication
No. 1052, dated February 26, 2008, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of
more than one fiscal year for a multi-year lease for a copy machine for the Office of the County
Clerk - Election Division.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by
resolution.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 547-08,
and recommends its adoption.
