No. 555-08 <br /> PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa <br /> 78-128 `Ehukai Street <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 1:57 p.m. <br /> <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 555-08, reports as follows: <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 555-08, transmitted jointly with Bill No. 261, by Director of Finance <br /> William Takaba, via Communication No. 1066, dated February 25, 2008, authorizes the Office <br /> of the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the United States of America for the FY 2007 <br /> Assistance to Firefighters Grant for the Hawaii Fire Department. <br /> <br /> The Department of Homeland Security and the Office for Domestic Preparedness, through its <br /> FY 2005 Assistance to Firefighters Grant program, has authorized a $244,560 grant to the <br /> Hawaii County Fire Department for the Assistance to Firefighters Grant. These funds will be <br /> used to acquire video conferencing equipment for 18 different locations around the island.
