It is with great aloha that I thank you very much for passing Resolution 034,.
My experience with your Hilo Council was extremely motivating toward your
approval of the Liliuokalani Park as our Site for our Korean War Veterans
Memorial. We have dreamed and wanted to select a special place for our Korean
War Memorial so that hundreds and thousands of families and visitors will never
"FORGET" this war and many others in history.
An inclusion of names of veterans Killed-In-Action (KIAs) will be included in this
Memorial also.
The Queen Liliuokalani Site is exactly what we want for our Korean Veterans and
your approval has magnified our outlook ten-fold.
Since YOU have already approved this Resolution, if at all possible, I would like a
letter signed by you approving the Queen Liliuokalani Park as a place for our
memorial.
Your kokua in this matter is greatly appreciated.
