It is encouraging when all Council Members come together in support of such an important Veterans issue, we thank you very much. However we would ask that you please provide us some further support by sending us a letter from your Office that would confirm your position by stating that Liliuokalani Gardens is the most fitting and proper place for the Korean War Veterans Memorial Monument to be located. Thereby providing maximum exposure and bring Honor, Respect, and Distinction to these very deserving Soldiers Killed in Action. We need your letter of support in discussion with Mayor Kim, it will add favorable influence and solidarity in the decision by Mayor Kim. We are extremely grateful and very appreciative for your cooperation, concern and support on this matter of grave importance for the recognition of our fallen comrades, and the proper place to locate the Korean War Veterans Memorial Monument, which will include all killed in action from all wars, as far back as the Civil War. This Memorial Monument will provide our Community with a very meaningful and Distinguished War Memorial. and properly Memorialize all 273 Soldiers killed in action with the proper Honor, Respect, and Recognition that they so duly deserve.
