Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 253, reports as follows:
Bill No. 253, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated February 20, 2008, is an ordinance related
to public improvements and financing thereof for the fiscal year July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009
(the Capital Improvement Projects Budget for Fiscal Year 2008-2009). The proposed Capital
Budget (CIP) for FY 2008-2009, and the Capital Program for the next six years from Fiscal Year
2008-09 to 2013-14, consisting of 68 projects requiring a total appropriation of $134,976,000, of
which $15,686,000 is Federal Grants Receivable, $4,450,000 is State Grants Receivable, and
$15,037,000 is County-financed through State Revolving Fund (SRF) loans.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purposes and intent of Bill No. 253, and
recommends it pass first reading.
