Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 279, reports as follows:
Bill No. 279, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 605-08 by Director of Finance William
Takaba, via Communication No. 1151, dated April 4, 2008, amends the Operating Budget for the
County of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2008, by appropriating $100,892 to the
Evidence Specialist Pilot Program account, to be used to fund two Evidence Specialist positions
and towards training, travel, uniforms, and equipment.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purposes and intent of Bill No. 279, and
recommends it pass first reading.
