Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 616-08, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 616-08, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via
Communication No. 1166, dated April 7, 2008, authorizes the Director of Finance to enter into
negotiations for the acquisition of the Pa`o`o ahupua`a parcel in North Kohala, pursuant to
Chapter 2, Article 42, Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as amended), from the
2007 Annual Report from the Public Access, Open Space and Natural Resources Preservation
Commission cited as top priority purchase of the Pa`o`o property, Tax Map Key 5-7-01:05, in
North Kohala.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purposes and intent of Resolution No. 616-08,
and recommends its adoption.
