Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 1196, reports as
follows:
Communication No. 1196, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated April 16, 2008, nominates
Mr. Kale Bob to the County of Hawaii Tax Board of Review.
Mr. Bob is a lifelong resident of Hawaii and is a self-employed licensed architect. He served as
a member of the Na Ala Hele, a State of Hawaii DLNR Trail and Access Program, and the
Lanai Archeological Committee. Mr. Bob states that he is not affiliated with any political party.
Mr. Bob will serve a term to end on December 31, 2008, replacing Ms. Claudio Woodward-Rice,
who resigned in 2007.
Mr. Bob was not present at the committee meeting, and members asked that he be present at the
next reading at full Council.
Your Committee on Finance recommends the confirmation of Mr. Kale Bob to the Hawaii
County Tax Board of Review to serve a term ending December 31, 2008.
