No. 1222/Bill 302 j <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers ' <br /> Ben Franklin Bldg, 2"d Floor <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> TIME: 3:00 p.m. <br /> i <br /> ; <br /> i <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred <br /> Communication No. 1222, regarding Bill 302, reports as follows: <br /> <br /> Bill 302, transmitted by Director of Public Works, Bruce McClure, via Communication <br /> No. 1222, dated April 29, 2008 amends Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-253.1, <br /> schedule 1.1 (15 mile per hour limit), subsection (c) South Hilo, item (11) of the Hawaii County <br /> Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), revising existing item: `Oma`o Street, from Kaumana <br /> Drive to a point six hundred sixty feet in the southeasterly direction. <br /> <br /> A member from the public commented on this proposed bill. <br /> <br /> Traffic Division Chief, Ron Thiel appeared before your committee. Mr. Thiel commented that <br /> the purpose of this traffic amendment is to correct an error in the initial bill.
