Subject: testimony on Bill 276 reapportionment commission
I have had an opportunity to review this request for changes in redistricting and I believe it now
addresses the issues that are required by the various changes in Federal Law and gives the voters a
chance to approve the updates that are going to have to be followed in any case or face the possibility of
continuous court challenges.
I particularly support the proposition that there be universal training for the appointed commissioners so
that they can proceed with reapportionment from the same base level.
I urge the Council support of this issue.
