A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Kohala Country Fair, with a 24 year history of providing a unique
opportunity for individuals, local businesses and community leaders to promote various projects
and issues, will this year focus on driving awareness and respect to sustainable living; and
WHEREAS, by providing an "ALI`I" sponsorship, the fair will help fund local
organizations that are currently working toward sustainable living on a daily basis; and
WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization will act as fiscal sponsor for the Kohala Country Fair "Living Sustainably
Together" 2008 event; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to
the Department of Research and Development to be used to fund the North Kohala Community
Resource Center's Kohala Country Fair "Living Sustainably Together" 2008 event; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this resolution
to the Director of Research and Development and the Director of Finance and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
