IRONMAN TRIATHLON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

the 20th Anniversary of the Ironman Triathlon World Championship taking place on
October 3, 1998.

RE: A RESOLUTION CELEBRATING THE 201h ANNIVERSARY OF
THE IRONMAN TRIATHLON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Pursuant to Section I (e) of Rule of the Rules of Procedure of the council of the County of
Hawaii, this written approval is submitted in regards to Resolution No. 'j?9_9 pursuant
to Chapter 15, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995), regarding the celebration of the
201h Anniversary of the Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Kailua-Kona, waiving
said referral from the Committee on Human Services and Economic Development in
order that appropriate action can be taken by the Council.
In reviewing the contents of the referral, it is deemed advisable that such waiver be
granted.
