Your Committee on Economic Development and Human Services, to which was referred
Communication No. 193.17, reports as follows:
Communication No. 193.17, a memorandum from Councilman John Ray, dated March 3 I,
1997, recommends the non-profit organization awards for the 1997-1998 fiscal year.
Chairman Ray explained in detail how the recommended funding amounts differed from last
year's actual awards, and provided the rationale for the cuts and increases in each agency's
funding. Committee members approved the recommendations and commended the Human
Service Non-profit Grant Review Committee for their time and efforts.
Your Committee recommends that the Council funding for non-profit organizations for the
1997-1998 fiscal year be as follows:
