Your Committee on Public Works and Pazks, to which was referred Communication No. 443
and attached Resolution No. 143, reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 143 is to authorize the County, pursuant to section 23-10 of the
Hawaii County Code and article XIII, section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, to accept a
dedication deed transmitting real property for road and drainage purposes from the following:
Craig S. and Claire A. Shigeoka, co-trustees under a deed of trust dated May 25, 1990, for the
benefit of the Shigeoka family; Christopher Brilhante; Stephen and Robyn Perry; Michelle
Brilhante; William Brilhante; and Craig T. and Karlyn L. Hamamoto. The dedication deed is For
a roadway lot located within the Ho'onani Subdivision, identified as Tax Map Key
No.(3)2-2-045:152.
Communication No. 443 is a letter from Corporation Counsel Richazd D. Wurdeman, dated
August 8, 1997, which transmits Resolution No. 143 to the County Council for its review and
consideration.
Your Committee did not express any concern over the approval of Resolution No. 143.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 143 and
recommends its adoption.
