GEORGE MARTIN
From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated March 7, 1997,
submitting for confirmation the following appointment
to the Hawaii County Hawaii Redevelopment Agency:
Mr. George Martin, a life-time resident of
Hawaii who presently is a self-employed
farmer. Prior to that, he was a real estate
agent for Brilhante Hawaii (1986-1991) and
the International Vice-President of the ILWU
(1971-1983). He is a registered Democrat.
If confirmed, Mr. Martin will fill a vacancy
to this recently activated entity and will
serve a term to end October 16, 2001.

From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated March 13, 1997,
transmitting for Council's consideration and action a
letter from the Planning Director and the above
study. Pursuant to Council Resolution No. 397-96,
which directed the Planning Director to conduct a
study to determine the feasibility of deleting a
portion of the proposed northern extension of the
Komohana Street 80-foot right-of-way alignment as
delineated on the General Plan Facilities Map and the
City of Hilo Zone Map.
