W We know that skateboarding is healthy, fun transportation & sport.
The few problems with it must be dealt with individually, and not by
banning it for everyone who Hves in, or visits Hilo. Let's create a
win-win solution for this issue, and start to generate our own voting
power here. The perfect Hilo includes freedom for skateboarders!
Imagine the best it can be...
The neat official meeting of the Hawaii County Council
on the skateboarding issue is scheduled for Wednesday
October 7th. Gathering starts at 8:3o a.m. Be upstairs at
the County Building with your friends, school class and
teachers, parents, etc., and urge the council to vote ono"
on Bill 287• We can do better than having a total ban on
skateboarding in Hilo. Anyone of any age can testify for 3
minutes at the start of the meeting. Ten the council and
the people of Hilo how you feel about the proposed ban on
skateboarding. Make your vote and voice count! Mail in
the petitions, or bring them to the meeting. Thanks.
The meeting will be on shown on cable TV that night.
