NO. 842 /BILL NO. 246 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 9:07 a.m. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 842, <br /> and attached Bill No. 246, reports as follows: <br /> The purpose of Bill No. 246 is to amend Chapter 24, Article I Q Division 5, Section 24-280 (No <br /> parking at anytime), Subsection (c), and Division 6, Section 24-288, Schedule 36 (Freight loading <br /> zones) subsection (c), of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 Edition). <br /> Communication No. 842 is from Donna Fay K. Kiyosaki, Chief Engineer of the Department of <br /> Public Works, requesting that the existing no parking zone along Punahoa Street be converted to a <br /> Freight Loading Zone. Ms. Kiyosaki informs that the request came from Mr. Stewart H. Hussey, <br /> who is the general manager of the S. Hata Building. Ms. Kiyosaki states that a 5-minute active <br /> loading zone is not viable for the loading and unloading operations of the S.
