Your Committee on Public Works and Pazks, to which was referred Communication No. 939.01, and
attached Resolution No. 311-98, reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 31 1-98 is to authorize the abandonment and quitclaim of the County
road easement at Honaunau, South Kona, Island of Hawaii, to Kamehameha Schools Bernice Pauahi
Bishop Estate, Tax Map Key No. (3) 8-4-011.
Communication No. 939.01 is from Gerald Takase, Deputy Corporation Counsel, dated
August 18, t998, transmitting Resolution No. 311-98 for the Council's review and consideration.
Discussion at Your Committee addressed the importance of complying accordingly to the deed with
Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estate to revert said road right-of--way back to Kamehameha Schools
Bishop Estate.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 311-98, and recommends
that it be adopted.
