NO. 142 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 9:03 am. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 142 <br /> and attached Bill No. 42, reports as follows: <br /> The purpose of Bill No. 42 is to amend chapter 24, article 8, division 1, section 24-190, to <br /> authorize the Department of Public Works to enlarge the length of prohibited parking areas <br /> adjacent to public and private driveways, crosswalks, and intersections. <br /> Communication No. 142 is a letter from Donna Fay K. Kiyosaki, Chief Engineer, dated <br /> February 4, 1997, which transmits Bill No. 42 to the Council for its consideration. In this <br /> Communication, the Chief Engineer notes that the length of prohibited parking areas adjacent to <br /> driveways, crosswalks, and intersections presently provided for in the Code is inadequate.
