Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 72
and attached Resolution No. 67, reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 67 is to authorize the County to acquire land for the
improvement of the Mamalahoa Highway, from Kamamalu Street to Lindsey Road. Although
the Council previously approved Resolution 8-96, which authorized the condemnation of the
subject properties, an erroneous land grant number was used in the surveyor's description for
Parcels 4, 5, and 6. Resolution 67 would correct these errors.
Communication No. 72 is a letter from Corporation Counsel Richard D. Wurdeman dated
April 4, 1997, which transmits Resolution No. 67 for the Council's review and consideration.
Your Committee did not express any concern over the approval of Resolution No. 67.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 67 a'nd recommends
its passage on first reading.
