Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 246
and attached Resolution No. 68, reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 68 is to authorize the County to accept a donation of real
property from Ramona Mew Lang Chow Ropek and Alice A. Smith. The property consists of
134 square feet of land located at Hilo, Hawaii. The donated land, identified as Tax Map Key
No. (3)2-2-41-121 (por.), is presently being encroached upon by the County roadway.
Communication No. 246 is a letter from Corporation Counsel Richard D. Wurdeman dated
April 4, 1997, which transmits Resolution No. 68 for the Council's review and consideration.
Your Committee did not express any concern over the approval of Resolution No. 68.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 68 'and recommends
its adoption.
