Re: Resolution Authorizing County to Enter into an Agreement
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement for a
Victims of Crime Act Grant. Funds from this grant will be utilized to assist
victims of crime through the judicial process.
As time is of the essence since this grant ends on September 30, 1998,
the department would like this bill to go directly to the Council meeting
scheduled on September 16, 1998.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Office of the
ProsecutiAttorney.

RE: Attached Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to Enter into an Agreement for
a Victims of Crime Act Grant.
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written approval is submitted in regards to Resolution No. 326 , authorizing
the Mayor to enter into an agreement for a Victims of Crime Act Grant. Funds from this
grant will be utilized to assist victims of crime through the judicial process, waiving said
Resolution from the Committee in order that appropriate action be taken by the Council at
its next meeting.
In reviewing the contents of the referral, it is deemed advisable that such waiver be granted.
