SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
Mamalahoa Highway, (Route 190)
Proposed Bus Stop
By authority of Section 24-10 of the Hawaii County Code, the Chief of Police, has established a
temporary bus stop along Mamalahoa Highway, (Route 190), fronting the Waimea Elementary and
Intermediate School to be in operation on school days. A location map is attached.
The bus stop under the Chief of Police authority is effective for ninety days. This amendment will
continue the designated bus stop until the Department of Education constructs more internal circulation
roads, with appropriate bus loading and unloading zones.
We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment. Should you have any
