RE: Transfer of Funds
This is to request your assistance in initiating a transfer of $5,000 for the Big Island
Marathon (requested by the Big Island Marathon coordinators) and $2,500 for security
fencing and cabling for Waiakea Uka Park (requested by the Police Department). The
proposed transfer would be from the Council's Miscellaneous Contractual Services
Account No. 010-101-5101.02-115.
The Big Island Marathon funding was inadvertently excluded from the administration's
budget. The security cabling/fencing for Waiakea Uka Park was requested by the Police
Department to deter the reappearance of gangs in that area.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
