SUBJECT: CSE telephone appropriation of $ 9.000 .
In reference to Harry Takahashi 's memo dated October 7.
1998. regarding " Bill # 303. Increasing the Coordinated
Services Budget . " is as follows.
CSE telephone appropriation of $ 9.000 will be expended to
provide 10 telephone lines installation and monthly incurr-
ing costs for 10 PC computers to be installed in East and
West Hawaii district offices. and to cover/supplement
monthly incurring costs for 5 telephone lines ( 5 computers)
at the Pomaikai Senior Center . a HUD Grant Project ( Puka
Ana ) .
The following is a cost breakdown :
East and West Hawaii District Ofcs. :
10 Telephone Lines $150/per $ 1 .500
10 Telephone Lines $52/mo. for 12 mos. 6.240
Pomaikai Senior Center :

At Its meeting of October 6,'1998, the Committee On Flnance approved the above bill. During the
discussion, Councibnetnbcr Curtis Tyler inquired about the amount being appropnated for telephone.
He totaled both appropriations for telephones and wanted to Imow what the $9,000 wiii be used for

Pteaae provide, Councli.^rember Tyler with an explanation of the telephone expenditures. Being as it
was officially discussed in the Committee On Finance, it is suggested that a copy be provided co the
Committee On Finance.
