I wrote a note to <br /> Mavor Yamashiro asking him to support the condemnation and purchase <br /> of the SoBay property at Wai'aha Bay for a County beach park. The <br /> Mayor responded October 26 writing "Your suggestion has merit. and if <br /> the Council authorizes the condemnation and the expenditure of funds <br /> for that purpose. the administration can pursue this idea. thank <br /> you for your ideas which we will seriousIv consider.- <br /> This is a request for you. as Finance C'omn:ittee members. to add money <br /> for the purchase of Wai'aha Bay to the CIP list. Since this beach is one <br /> of very few sandy beaches in Kona. it is of prime importance, to local <br /> people and to tourists.
