Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 885, and attached
Bil] No. 261, reports as follows:
The purpose of Bill No. 261 is to amend Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2, Section 24-268, Schedule 16 (Tum
right anytime with caution), Subsection (c) South Hilo and Subsection (g) Puna, Hawaii County Code 1983 (1993
Edition) by adding Pohakulani Street-Ainaola Drive intersection and Kahakai Boulevard-Punawai Street
intersection, respectively.
Communication No. 883 is from Chief Engineer Donna Fay K. Kiyosaki, dated June 2, 1998, requesting that
the Hawaii County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2 (Moving Vehicles), Section 24-268, Schedule 16
(Turn right anytime with caution) be amended by adding new items as follows:
(c) South Hilo
Pohakulani Street at its intersection with Ainaola Drive for vehicles traveling in the Puna
direction.
(g) Puna
Kahakai Boulevard at its intersection with Punawai Street for vehicles traveling in the mauka
direction.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 261, and recommends it pass first
reading.
