As farmers living and working on agricultural land in Kau we would like
to go on record for the third straight year..TO say aerial spraying of ROUNDUP
to kill marijuana is killing us.
In 1996 and 1997 letters from people and their doctors were presented to
our county council stating people and property are being damaged,
Our story was told on Oahu news and then CNN showing dead birds after
the low flying helicopters dropped over our homes and sprayed us with proven
deadly herbicides and other unnamed chemicals in the name of "War on Drugs"
The marijana eradication enviromental rulebook ran out in 1996. There is
no current enviromental impact statement.
You are addressing two issues today money from our own American
government to
spray poision on forest,parks and private lands and a victim counselor to assist
people who have been touched by violence. Then the government should pay for
a counselor for all of Kau because we are victims of their war.....
We want a counselor for our children who run and hide from the tree
branches that fall when the helicopters hover. We want a counselor for all of our
war veterans that chose
to live in quiet and remote areas , Plus their families that relive WAR stories.
You can make a change today for a healthy Hawaii... Say no to the
money .
Canada and other countries are reporting the effects of glysophate
ROUNDUP) poisioning; birth defects, non regenerating crops, deaths. Other
countries are watching Hawaii. A place we tell people to come to for vacations a
happy healthy place. We are the only place that gets money from the US to tests
the effects of aeriel spraying on people and plants.
You the county council can stop us from being victims ...Say NO.
