Attention: Mr. Aaron Chung
Chairperson, County Finance Committee
Dear Mr. Chung:
I have been apprised that Resolution #32898, a proposal to allow the County
of Hawaii to enter into an agreement to accept funding to irradicate the
possession of marijuana, is coming before the County for action? As Principal
of Konawaena High School, I strongly support such an endeavor. I feel with
the support of additional funding, our law enforcement agencies will be able
to perform their duties with a higher success rate. As a public school, we
continually face the ramifications of students having easy access to this
substance for their personal use. Statistics identify that we have student
user's and this is not in compliance with D.O.E. Regulations, Chapter 31,
Tobacco Free School System.
In closing, please accept my written testimony of approval for Resolution #32898.
Sincerely,
r
iel Yoshida
