®LTNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAI `I <br />RESOLUTION NO. ~~3 ~ ~~ <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION OF $1,008.36 <br />TO THE HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Discovery Harbour Volunteer Fire Fighters have donated $1,008.36 to the Hawaii Flre <br />Department, and <br />WHEREAS, the donated funds are earmarked for the purchase of a portable foam system, "Pro/pak", <br />and well be assigned to the Volunteer Fire Department; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on <br />behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`l that in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii <br />accepts this monetary donation <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this resolution be sent to Mr. Larry <br />Kingsley, Acting Fire Chief, Discovery Harbour Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
