Honorable Chair and Members of the Committee:
The Hawaii Island Economic Development Board supports several federal
and county partnership programs including the referenced grant. We
believe that on-going program reviews have demonstrated a successful
endeavor, and that further information is needed in community education
on this issue.
We note that an additional audit is recommended in Resolution #338-98 (to
be paid for by County funds). The information in the proposed audit would
be valuable as a public educational toot, and support the intent of this
resolution.
