November 11, 1998
Veteran's Day

Re: Resolutions 328-98, and 338-98 C.

Dear Hawai'i County Council Chairman and Members,

Aloha. It continues to be my pleasure to help inform the citizens of Hawai'i
County, through you, of the benefits of cannabis hemp, and the futility of the
'war on marijuana'. Enclosed is the latest copy of Ke Kalahea, the
University of Hawai'i at Hilo campus newspaper, and its story about the
illegality of the marijuana eradication program. This news story is their third
in a series about cannabis hemp in Hawai'i. I suggest you read the others.

Since there is a request for more funding before you at the next Finance
Committee meeting on November 17th, I thought you would like to see what
the next generation of voters is thinking about your policy and actions
from their point-of-view. Also enclosed is my flyer concerning the upcoming
agenda items, Resolution 328-98, and 338-98, and new opinion poll results.

Like the Berlin Wall which came down after many years of Cold War, the
War on Drugs, or World War III as some call it, is coming down now.
Medical marijuana initiatives passed in every state where they were on the
ballot. The recent public opinion poll of Hawai'i voters confirmed support for
medical marijuana of 63% v. 28% opposed. In otherwords, after more than
30 years of propaganda, D.E.A. interdiction, D.A.R.E. programs, mandatory
minimum sentences, "Green Harvest", forfeiture of property, cash and
children, etc., etc., the people of Hawai'i believe marijuana to be good
enough for them to be considered medicine! A majority of more than 2 to 1.
The "ethnic cleansing" called 'marijuana eradication' is about to end, and a

new era of peace, prosperity and domestic tranquility is about to begin.

On this Veteran's Day 1998 it is fitting to discuss the ending of wars and the
blessings of peace and harmony.

All the very best to you and yours,

xoge~ Christie Roger Christie _
,.O.
