Purpose of Grant: To enable Hawaii's na kupuna to have access to affordable and
quality home-and-community based services that are client
centered and family supportive, allowing them to live with
independence and dignity. Services include Adult Day Care,
Attendant Care, Case Management, Chore, Homemaker/
Housekeeper, Personal Care, Assisted Transportation, and
Home Delivered Meals.

SUBJECT: INTENT TO AWARD ACT 204 STATE FUNDS
The Executive Office on Aging is pleased to announce that Governor Lingle released
ACT 204 funds. A total of $475,000 is allocated for the expansion of KUPUNA CARE
services and direct services to family caregivers statewide.
Therefore, the Executive Office on Aging (EOA) intends to award the County of Hawaii,
Hawaii County Office of Aging state funds in the amount of $63,268 for the provision of
additional KUPUNA CARE services and direct services to family caregivers.
These funds are subject to the allotments to be made by the Director of Finance, State of
Hawaii pursuant to Chapter 37, Hawaii Revised Statutes-
EOA will be in contact with you regarding the contracting of these funds. If you have
