COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. '7~~ CEf~Z <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Committee on the Status of Women, in conjunction <br />with the Department of Education State Peer Education Program, is planning a Teen Dating <br />Violence Conferences in both East and West Hawaii; and <br />WHEREAS, the target group will be students from Big Island high schools and middle <br />schools, along with teachers, advisors and counselors who will attend the conferences; and <br />WHEREAS, the speaker will be Dr. Jill Murray, of California, an expert on teen dating <br />violence, who will speak at high schools on both sides of the Island in addition to the <br />conferences; and <br />WHEREAS, conference organizers anticipate approximately 200 students will attend the <br />conference on each side of the Island; and <br />WHEREAS, the participating students will be required to form an action plan before <br />leaving the conference to bring teen dating violence awareness to their school campus; and <br />WHEREAS, the Peer Education Resource teachers will assist with the-implementation of <br />the action plans; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to <br />the Office of Management, Committee on the Status of Women, to be used for the Teen Dating <br />Violence Conferences; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br />following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $2,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010. ] 01.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $2,000 <br />
