RESOLUTION NO. ~
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Real Women Creative Writing Contest celebrates National Women's
History Month, which is held in the month of March; and
WHEREAS, schools and communities recognize and celebrate the lives of women of all
races, ages, cultures, ethnic traditions, and ways of life; and
WHEREAS, the students honor the women in their family or in their community that
have made a difference in their lives by writing an essay about them; and
WHEREAS, students from the Island's public, private, charter, and Hawaiian immersion
schools submit essays; and
WHEREAS, a luncheon is held For the students and their honored women; and
WHEREAS, the contest is sponsored by the Hawaii County Committee on the Status of
Women, with cooperation from the Department of Education; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to
the Office of Management to be used for the Real Women Creative Writing Contest sponsored
by the Committee on the Status of Women; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

CREDITED TO:
010.111.5115.20 Office of Management $500

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Managing Director and the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance
is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
