RESOLUTION NO. 7~2 ~~
RESOLUTION CHANGING TIME ELEMENT OF A CUSTODIAN/GROUNDSKEEPER I
(1/4T) TO HALF TIME
WHEREAS, Position no. 04770, aCustodian/Groundskeeper I (1/4T) position within the
Hawaii County Police Department, is located at the Ka'u station; and
WHEREAS, this position also services the Hawaiian Ocean View Estate (HOVE) sub-station;
and
WHEREAS, increasing the position's time element from 1/4 time (10 hours per week) to 1/2
time (20 hours per week) will allow for the maintenance of the HOVE sub-station to be increased from
twice a month to twice a week; and
WHEREAS, the additional time will provide travel time and allow for more maintenance time at
the Ka`u station as well; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds available in the Ka'u Police's Regular Salaries and
Wages account (010.201.5213.01.011).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that Position No. 04770, Custodian/Groundskeeper I (1/4T), BC-02, be changed to half time.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there are sufficient funds available in the Ka'u Police's
Regular Salaries and Wages account (010.201.5213.01.011).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Finance,
Police, and Human Resources Departments.
