REPORT ON THE NORTH KONA REGIONAL SEWAGE SYSTEM BY
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR BOBBY JEAN LEITHEAD TODD
IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION 129-03
From Environmental Management Director Bobby Jean Leithead Todd, dated
August 14, 2008, transmitting the above report, which addresses a regional sewerage
master plan for the region North of Kealakehe; an implementation plan meeting
requirements of Section 12-10(a) of the Hawaii County Code; and provides
recommendations as to the preferred method of financing.
Comm. 1417: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 08-78, AS AMENDED, THE
(Bill 355) OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2009 {appropriates additional funds of $4,123 into the
Hawaii County Police Department's Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE)
Grant account to be used to send six officers and two SAFE nurses to the Fourth
Annual Statewide Sexual Assault Multi-Disciplinary Training

(Res. 732-08) GROUNDSKEEPER I (1/4T) TO HALF TIME (allows time for the maintenance of the
Hawaiian Ocean View Estates police sub-station to be increased from twice a month to
twice a week, and will also provide travel time and allow for more maintenance time at
the Ka`u police station)

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER
INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF
HEALTH, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR THE PUBLIC SAFETY
INTEROPERABLE COMMUNICATIONS; and
(Bill 358) AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 08-78, AS AMENDED, THE
OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2009 (appropriates $1,575,000 of federal and state funds
into separate program accounts; $1,275,000 -Federal account, and $300,000 -State
account. The Public Safety Interoperable Communications Grant is intended to
provide the Hawaii County Fire and Police Departments with enhanced
interoperable communications with respect to voice, data, and/or video si.~nals.)

THEREOF; AND AUTHORIZING THE TAKING OF OTHER ACTIONS
RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF THE BONDS (authorizes the

Videoconferencing from the Pahoa Neighborhood Facility will not be available. If audio stream between
