No. 711-08 <br /> PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Hotel <br /> 78-128 `Ehukai Street <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 9:30 a.m. <br /> <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 711-08, reports as follows: <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 711-08, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 1358, <br /> dated July 24, 2008, creates positions through County funds, to enable the Office of Aging to better utilize the <br /> Federal funds towards services for the elderly and their caregivers. <br /> <br /> The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) will soon be opening up on the Big Island of Hawaii, <br /> which will be a one-stop resource center that will provide information and assistance services to older adults <br /> and caregivers. At present, two contractual positions, a Caregiver Information & Assistance Specialist (SR-22) <br /> and a Data Processing Clerk (SR-10), that were hired to assist with the ADRC, by the Hawaii County Office of <br /> Aging.
