Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 336, reports as follows:
Bill No. 336, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 713-08, by Director of Finance William Takaba, via
Communication No. 1360, dated July 24, 2008, amends Ordinance No. 08-78, as amended, the Operating
Budget, ending June 30, 2009. The amendment is as follows:

010.221.5228.15 AFG 2008 Health & Wellness Program General $424,963
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County Charter, the Mayor
is hereby authorized to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to be taken
pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend and receive any funds or other assistance in
connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 336, and recommends it pass
first reading.
