Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 337, reports as follows:
Bill No. 337, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 714-08 by Director of Finance William Takaba, via
Communication No. 1361, dated July 24, 2008, amends Ordinance No. 08-78, as amended, the Operating
Budget, ending June 30, 2009. The amendment is as follows:

3308.27 Federal Grants - Sexual Violence Prevention & Planning General $19,600
To:
010.271.5271.80 Sexual Violence Prevention & Planning General $19,600
These funds from the State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General's Crime Prevention and Justice
Assistance Division will be used to coordinate a statewide three day training program aimed at improving the
delivery of sexual assault services within the criminal justice system.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County Charter, the Mayor
is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for the Sexual Violence Prevention and Planning
grant.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 337, and recommends it pass
first reading.
