Purpose of Grant: for the purchase of specialized equipment to enhance the
capability of state and county agencies to prevent and respond to incidents of terrorism,
involving the use of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or explosive (CBRNE) weapons.
The law enforcement terrorism prevention funds enhance capabilities for detecting, deterring,
disrupting, and preventing acts of terrorism through information sharing and intelligence
gathering, target hardening to reduce vulnerability and intervention activities to interdict
