RESOLUTION NO. '7S5 OS
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPOPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, to honor all veterans in Hawaii County, the Hawaii Island Veterans
Memorial, Inc., a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization consisting of veterans
organizations representing a broad spectrum of the Hawaii County community, is sponsoring a
Veterans' Memorial parade on November 8, 2008 in Hilo, Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, participants in the event will consist of veterans organizations and
individuals from Hawaii County representing various branches of the United States Armed
Forces who bravely served our country; and
WHEREAS, financial assistance has been requested by the Hawaii Island Veterans
Memorial, Inc. for the November 8, 2008 Veterans' Memorial parade, which funding request has
been approved by the Department of Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 for $1,000 will be
appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide financial assistance for the
Annual Veterans' Day Parade; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Finance
and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in
accordance with the terms of the resolution.
