COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. '752 (3~ <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br />WHEREAS, the Arborist Advisory Committee (AAC) has successfully nominated 29 <br />trees and four groves as "exceptional trees", in accordance with Chapter 14, Article ] 0 of the <br />1-Iawai`i County Code; and <br />WHEREAS, in an effort to implement the intent of Chapter 14, Article ] 0, Section 14-~6 <br />of the Hawaii County Code to "safeguard exceptional trees from damage and destruction due to <br />land development," the AAC through the Planning Department, would like to provide signs for <br />each exceptional tree to appropriately recognize its significant status and to accurately identify it <br />to the public; and <br />WHEREAS, in order for exceptional trees to be recognized and identified to the public. <br />the AAC implemented the Exceptional Trees Signage Project; and <br />WHEREAS, a logo design was recently selected as part of a community-based design <br />contest that the AAC will use on all exceptional tree signs; and <br />WHEREAS, the AAC requested funds from Council District 8 to help with the design, <br />fabrication and installation of signs to identify the exceptional trees of Hawaii County: and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to <br />the Planning Department to be used to help fund the work of the AAC's Exceptional "I rces <br />Signage Project; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`[ that the <br />following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $1,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk-CouncilSVC-Contingency Relief $1,000 <br />
