Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Resolution No. 282-98, transmitted by
Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro per Communication No. 874, dated May 29, 1998, regazding the
naming of streets in the County of Hawaii, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 282-98 authorizes the approval of the street names for the roadways within the
Waiakea Heights Subdivision, Units I and II, Waiakea Homesteads, South Hilo, Hawaii.
The Planning Commission at its May 15, 1998 meeting approved the names for the roadways in
Exhibit "A" (see attached) as follows:
Kaulike Street
Paulele Street
Hoolaulea Street
Lelepau Street
Your Committee noted that some diacritical mazks may be missing from the above names and if
so, an amended drafr will be forthcoming.
Your Committee on Planning concurs with the intent and purpose of Resolution No. 282-98 and
recommends its adoption.
